**PhD Studentships in Deep Learning at University of Sydney**. 

The successful candidate will enroll as a PhD student in the Computer Science department of the University of Sydney (under the supervision of Dr Chang Xu). We seek strongly motivated candidates prepared to dedicate to high quality research. The candidate should have (or be close to obtaining) a Master's degree (or Bachelor's degree) in computer science or electrical engineering with strong background in deep learning and programming (e.g., Pytorch). PhD scholarship ($35,000 per annum) with tuition fee waiver will be provided to outstanding applicants.

**Research Internships in Deep Learning at University of Sydney**. 

This internship program is for undergraduate- and graduate-level students and early career individuals. The deep learning topics include but not limited to deep neural network design and optimization, adversarial machine learning and applications, and learning with unlabeled data. The successful candidate will be invited to undertake the internship at Sydney and essential living allowance will be provided.

Dr Chang Xu is Senior Lecturer (US Associate Professor) and Australian Research Council DECRA (Discovery Early Career Researcher Award) Fellow at the School of Computer Science, University of Sydney. His research interests lie in multi-view learning, multi-label learning, deep neural architectures, adversarial machine learning and related applications in computer vision. He has published over 100 papers in prestigious journals and top tier conferences. He has received several paper awards, including Distinguished Paper Award in IJCAI 2018. He regularly severed as the PC member or senior PC member for many conferences, e.g. NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, SIGKDD, CVPR, ICCV, IJCAI and AAAI.
